摘要

Using the picosecond lifetime system at UNISOR, we have measured the lifetimes for the first 2(+) levels in Xe-118,Xe-120 to be 64 +/- 4 ps and 63 +/- 6 ps, respectively. The resulting B(E2;0(I)(+)-->2(I)(+)) value for Xe-130 of 1.79 +/- 11 e(2)b(2) implies there is no saturation of B(E2) values at mid-shell in the Xe isotopes, as suggested from earlier lifetime measurements.
