Intensified co-electrolysis process for syngas production from captured CO2

•Isothermal CO2 capture and utilization process was demonstrated.•Syngas can be produced in an intensified co-electrolysis unit at low temperature.•Process intensification allow significant reduction in unit operations.•CO2 conversions 70 % can be achieved in the intensified electrolyzer.
