Three viewpoints on null-collision Monte Carlo algorithms

•Monte Carlo Method and computer graphics tools are combined.•Non linearity of the integral operator in the double randomization is bypassed.•Three viewpoints allow classification of ideas, flexibility and intuition.•Data-algorithm orthogonality is preserved using null collision algorithm.•Hierarchical grids combined to null collision algorithm allow a fast path tracking.
