摘要

•GEM detectors are developed to be applied in plasma physics with high rate capability.•Both spatially and spectrally resolved calibrated data could be collected.•Combined contribution from both the SXR and high energy ionizing radiation observed for obtained spectra at WEST tokamak.•Simulations of the plasma impurity parameters and spectra were conducted.
