Aqueous dispersions of fullerene C-60 were prepared from fulleride solutions in tetrahydrofuran, followed by air oxidation, transfer to water and solvent evaporation. Fulleride exposition to air produces charged fullerene dispersions in THF that can be transferred to water to produce aqueous fullerene dispersions, stable for months. (C)) 2020 Elsevier Ltd.
