The synthesis of new PEPPSI-type N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC)-Pd(II) complexes bearing long alkyl chain as precursors for the synthesis of NHC-stabilized Pd(0) nanoparticles and their catalytic applications

摘要
•Six different novel N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) and their Pd(II) complexes were synthesized.•These Pd(II) complexes were used as catalysts in Suzuki-Miyaura reaction.•NHC-Pd(II) complexes were used as precursors for in situ synthesis of NHC-stabilized Pd(0) NPs.•NHC-stabilized Pd(0) NPs were generated in situ during the dehydrocoupling of ammonia borane.•1 eqv. H2(g) was released from the dehydrocoupling of AB in the presence of NHC-stabilized Pd(0) NPs.•NHC-stabilized Pd(0) NPs provided a TOF value of 37.7 min−1 and yielded polyborazylene.
