Abstract
- This paper presents an experimental design of balancing machine for the rotatingmachine parts, like pulleys, fans, wheels, turbines, etc. The experimental result gives theaccuracy of the balanced parts. The system consists of a heavy steel frame, DC motor withvariable speeds (200-3500 rpm), shaft 25 mm diameter and 40 cm length, two pillow blockball bearings, and coupling flange. The system work has the same principle technique ofdynamic response or vibration monitoring. An accelerometer is mounted on the bearing blocknearest to the test part, the sensor reads the vibrations at the running speed, and the data aretransmitted to Arduino type mega 2560, which sends the data of vibration to the laptop todisplay it in Arduino software as signals data with time. In addition to that, a drill is used toremove the spot which have a high mass.
