Exploiting Novel Rotors With Auxochromic Dynamic Motors For Monitoring Lysosomal Viscosity

Organelles like lysosomes usually exhibit dynamic changes of locations, morphologies, and components, which could be reflected by the local viscosity. For monitoring lysosomal viscosity, a novel rotor P7-B was introduced with an improved auxochromic dynamic motor of azepanyl. All through the evaluating processes including optical tests, wave-band optimization and intracellular applications, P7-B exhibited comparable targeting capability and better auxochroming potential than morpholine-containing rotors. More than offering practical lysosomal viscosity monitoring tools or referential auxochromic dynamic motors, this work raised significant information for transcending the structural limits in future investigations.
