Evaluating and modelling of plug flow reactor digesting lignocellulosic corn silage

•Kinetic study of plug flow anaerobic digestion of corn silage was studied.•Biogas generation rate and its yield increased first and then diminished.•Maximum biogas yield and k were obtained as 0.716 m3/kg and 0.0689 per day.•Developed kinetic model can be used to design the industrial plug flow reactor.
