ZigBee Based System for Monitoring Temperature, Ph Level, and Salinity for Fishponds with Fine Bubble Aeration

This paper presents a proposal of an integrated ZigBee based system that monitors a fishpond pH, salinity and temperature. It also provides an aerating action through the use of an aerator in which is incorporated in the water when the temperature is above the critical value. This action removes the stratification in the waters. The measurements are then sent in a computer and are displayed in a GUI made using MATLAB. A XbeePro wireless module is used as a RF module because of its excellent quality with regards to power consumption, low cost, flexibility and reliability of communications.
