摘要
•Most of the genes encoding SOD, CAT, APX and POD were up-regulated more highly in ‘Nipponbare’ than that in ‘Kasalath’.•The activities of SOD, CAT and POD were dramatically enhanced upon 6 h Cd exposure in ‘Nipponbare’.•Most of the genes involved in glutathione metabolism were up-regulated more highly in ‘Kasalath’ than that in ‘Nipponbare’.•The contents of Cys and PCs were dramatically increased upon 6 h Cd exposure in ‘Kasalath’ along with enlarged vacuoles.
