摘要

•Corrosion testing of low-carbon steels immersed in an acidic geothermal fluid with injecting air-nanobubbles.•Air-nanobubbles facilitated the corrosion inhibition effectiveness of low-carbon steels of up to 50 %.•Air-nanobubbles inhibited corrosion through bubble mattress and/or slight silica precipitation on the steel surface.
