摘要
In this study, silver and gold nanoparticles were synthesized by usingSyzygium aromaticumbud extract and reaction conditions were optimized. SPR band for silver nanoparticle (CAgNP) and for gold nanoparticle (CAuNP) was observed at 427 nm and 530 nm, respectively. The presence of phytochemical on the nanoparticle as capping agent in confirmed by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR). Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy confirms the elemental composition of CAgNP and CAuNP. Zeta Potential measurements revealed that the surfaces of the nanoparticles were negatively charged. Transmission electron microscopy and dynamic light scattering experiment indicated that particles were spherical and moderately dispersed. The CAgNPs have shown sensitivity to detect Hg(II) whereas CAuNPs could detect Cr(III) and Pb(II) ions in aqueous solution. The metal ion detection was monitored by UV-Visible spectroscopy. The minimum detection limit for Hg(II) by using CAgNPs is 10 mu M and that of Cr(III) and Pb(II) is 0.25 mM and 1 mM, respectively.
