Abstract
In modern era, widespread demand for wireless devices with the purpose of multiple access over an extensive spectrum and utilize of electromagnetic band proficiently has been increased. Along with, spectrum congestion is also crucial. Antenna is the key element in wireless communication system. Simple antennas with one aim are not smart enough to meet with this demand. Reconfigurable antenna is intended with the ability to change dynamically its uniqueness in existent time situation which are defined as polarization, frequency, pattern reconfigurable antenna. Cognitive radio technology senses the vacant spectrum in dynamic manner and smart enough to allocate the vacant spectrum to the congested one. The major purpose of this article is to analysis a variety of worldwide papers with different reconfiguration techniques for slot antenna that can be used in cognitive radio networks.
