摘要

•The evolution process of Nd-Fe-B hard magnetic powders was evaluated in this paper.•The ‘coordination structure’ theory was applied to explain the formation process of the oxide precursor.•Henkel plots and recoil loops were used to study the mechanism of the coercivity.
