Gastric trichobezoar in an end-stage renal failure and mental health disorder presented with chronic epigastric pain: A case report

•Depressive symptoms with concomitant end-stage renal failure might contribute to the occurrence of the trichotillomania and trichophagia, leading to gastric trichobezoar.•Surgery is the mainstay of treatment in trichobezoar with complications.•Referral to psychiatry is mandatory in addition to continuous medical treatment in patients with trichobezoar.
