Research on fast intelligence multi-objective optimization method of nuclear reactor radiation shielding

•The coupling shielding optimization of Genetic Algorithm and Neural Network.•Improve Genetic Algorithm and Neural Network for fast and flexible solving.•A new adaptive mutator operator is used to enhance the global searching capability of Genetic Algorithm.•The performance in examples is at least 100 times as quick as the pure Monte Carlo method.
