Cu2ZnSnS4 Thin Film Fabricated by the Calcinated Nanocrystals

In the present work, Cu2ZnSnS4(CZTS) thin film is successfully prepared by the calcinated nanocrystals with screen-printing approach. The dependences of the obtained samples' properties on the annealing parameters of temperature and time are well studied via X-ray diffraction, Raman, field emission scanning electron microscopy, ultraviolet-visible-infrared (UV-vis-IR) spectroscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy treatments. The results suggested that the best performances of prepared sample can be obtained at 600 degrees C for 20 min. The obtained sample features a kesterite CZTS phase, a surface morphology consisting of microns nanoparticles, a Cu-rich and Zn-rich chemical composition, and an ideal band gap of 1.4 eV. Additionally, the impurity phase of copper sulfide resulting from Cu-rich composition is needed to further improve in the next work.
