Abstract
The service life of transparent conductive film (TCF) is heavily relied on the stability of the conductive coating. In this study, TCF with low sheet resistance and high oxidation resistance was fabricated using a facile approach combining polydopamine (PDA) modification and silver nanowire (AgNW) vacuum assisted hot embossing(VHE) on polycarbonate (PC). The surface wettability and AgNW dispersion were enhanced by PDA modification, and the AgNW network was effectively welded and semi-embedded in PC substrate after VHE process. The special micro-structure endowed the TCF extraordinary tolerance to high temperature, humidity, ultraviolet (UV) irradiation, and mechanical bending. Moreover, the TCF maintained a low sheet resistance of 15.2 Omega/sq, a high transmittance about 80 % and a low roughness about 13.3 nm. All these attributes make the TFC an ideal candidate for applications such as transparent electrode, optoelectronic device, invisible electromagnetic interference shielding, etc.
