Robotic Abdominoperineal Resection And Posterior Vaginectomy - A Video Vignette

In this video, our method for performing a robotic abdominoperineal resection and posterior vaginectomy is described. We present the case of a 56 year old female with aT4N0 anal lesion that was ulcerated and fistulating into the vagina. After discussion at our multidisciplinary meeting, it was decided that she would undergo a robotic abdominoperineal resection and posterior vaginectomy followed by an inferior gluteal artery myocutaneous island transposition flap reconstruction by plastic surgeons. Total colorectal operating time was 130 minutes.
