The interest of an evolution of value management methodology in complex technical projects for improving project management

Abstract Due to social, environmental and technical evolutions, complex technical projects (numerous stakeholders and several/high level expertises) need to evolve in their management practices. Many management and design methodologies exist to limit costs and resources used in a project. The proposed paper aims at identifying the challenges encountered in complex projects’ management and determining how one of them, the Value Management, should be evolved. The research methodology combines a bibliographical analysis (on engineering methodologies for complex projects’ management) and a demonstration of Value Management interest on a case study to address sustainable stakes.
