Abstract
Introduction: Normal myocardial blood flow reserve (MBFR) using Positron Emission Tomography (PET) effectively excludes multivessel coronary artery disease (MVD). Coronary artery calcium score (CACS) provides independent prognostic information when combined with MBFR in these patients. The role of CACS in diagnosis of MVD among intermediate to high pretest risk patients referred for PET myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) is unclear.
