Poincare sphere noise filtering for singularities in dynamic speckle activity: Application to paint drying time measurement

•paint drying process characterized by optical vortex density of THSP's pseudo-phase.•A filter based on Poincare sphere is proposed to eliminate unstable vortices.•THSP vortex time evolution behavior coincide with conventional gravimetric method.•Proposed approach can be used to study other dynamic events.
