Callback2Vec: Callback-aware hierarchical embedding for mobile application

•A callback based hierarchical embedding approach for mobile app is presented.•A callback-sequence-generation algorithm is devised to mimic callback running behaviors.•Contextual semantics can be reasonably represented by the embedded vectors.•The approach can precisely outline malicious patterns for mobile app.•The approach can concretely improve the performance for malware prediction and classification.
