Laparoscopic Jejunal Resection For Perforation Of Solitary Jejunal Diverticulum - A Video Vignette
COLORECTAL DISEASE(2020)
Abstract
An 80 years old man was admitted with an acute abdomen after 6 months of NSAIDs use. Abdominal CT scan showed air bubbles next to a jejunal tract. Laparoscopic exploration of the abdomen confirmed the presence of acute peritonitis due to a partially-covered perforation of a proximal jejunal diverticulum. We performed a jejunal resection and side-to-side jejuno-jejunal intracorporeal anastomosis. The postoperative course was uneventful and the patient was discharged on the sixth postoperative day.
