Influence and Control of Agricultural Means of Production on Grain Crops Output

In this paper, we improve the expansion form of C-D production function by ridge regression technique and analyze the effects of input elements of agricultural production on grain crops output in 1985-2013. The results show that the amount of chemical fertilizer plays the most important role in the grain production. Also, irrigation area and agricultural power consumption are the two main factors impacting the grain crops output. As a supplement, we discuss how the change of price index rate of input elements to indirect regulate the growth rate of agricultural means of production and to promote the steady growth of grain production from the perspective of resource optimization.
