Abstract
This study was aimed at improving the level of senior citizen's apparel design and marketing according to their wearing needs. Focusing on the social background of aging, the psychological needs of senior citizen's wear in Xi'an were discussed, with the consumers as investigated target from different small residential area and sanatorium selected. Investigation, analytical induction method and SPSS were used to analyze the investigated data. The psychological needs of senior citizen's wear were proposed in this study, which indicates that the senior citizens had clear compensating psychology in wearing needs and their consuming psychology and expectation have greatly changed and improved than ever before. For senior citizen's wear, the main influencing factors towards the psychological comfortableness were the clothing quality including the internal, outside quality and the easy-care quality, and the marketing methods which included price, packing and after-sale service.
