Research on Acquiring Knowledge of Armhole Design of Men's Shirts for Individualized Customization

With technological and economical advancements, the traditional plate-making mode is far from satisfying customer's individual needs, as the intellectualization requirement of CAD (Computer Aided Design) is becoming increasingly higher. The clothing CAD used today is not very intelligent, as it is difficult to achieve an individualized version of personalized customization. Here, we have summarized findings of our research on the knowledge acquisition of clothing, in particular on plate making, to contribute to the individualized customization model in the future. Take men's shirts as an example, using ET clothing CAD software, by comparing and studying the factors that affect armhole curve in various ways of plate making, the relationship between human body parts and armhole curve is more clearly reflected by directed graph analysis, and then the armhole section is customized by individualized customization module. Finally, some methods are used to acquire the knowledge of plate making. If studied properly, it can provide a method for the development of personalized customization.
