Research on the Design and Innovation of Traditional Grass Cloth and Ramie Fiber

This paper is based on the unique characteristics of grass cloth redesigned with innovative design methods to combine traditional crafts and modern design. The unique natural textures of China 's grass cloth show a distinct visual effect. China's grass cloth products will be transformed into the new design brand direction in order to match the characteristics of the times. Combined with modern technology they will accord to the fashion aesthetic and the development trends of society as well as present the characteristics of grass cloth innovation and science. The innovative part of this paper is the combination of the grass cloth in the weaving, Screen printing and Fabric redesign processes, while combining the design and application of new materials. Through redesign methods, the economic value of grass cloth products along with additional value will be increased.
