Sand Braided River Lithofacies and Associations in the Central of Sulige Gas Field

Abstract
The research of reservoir of sandy braided river deposits architecture is popular and difficult in the world. The Sulige gas field of He8d member is the reservoir with this type. Because of well space and seismic vertical resolution, it is hard to delicate dissect sand body and gas sand. The analogy is a common geology research method. Based on Miall’s lithofacies classify method, we have used Sulige gas field core well data to depict He8d member’s ten lithofacies types and six associations. Compared with the famous sandy braided river crop, the middle Jurassic Yungang Formation in the Datong Basin, Sulige gas field’s sandy braided river lithofacies are more complicated. It means more complicated hydropower and the associations demonstrate that transverse bars are more developed in Sulige gas field. Using John’s. Bridge’s empiric equation, we have built braided river belt’s width, bankfull depth, and bankfull channel width. It is useful for the research of Sulige gas field architectural; Meanwhile, it is a reference for dissecting sand body and gas sand of sandy braided river deposits and building geological knowledge bank in large well space reservoir.
