Optimizing Traffic Control for a Minimization of Fuel Consumptions and Emission Values

The emissions of harmful substances to the environment can be reduced in two ways. On one hand, by using the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system of individual vehicles, on the other hand, by controlling the vehicles with the help of appropriate traffic control tools. These two approaches can be analysed in a complex model consisting of the models describing the behavior of the individual vehicles and determining the operation of the traffic network and the relationships between them.
