The Performance Requirements and Operating Conditions Analysis of the Disconnector for Surge Arresters

The operation mechanism, necessity of usage and current application of disconnector for surge arrester in China is described. An analysis on function, design, advantage and disadvantage of disconnector currently used in China is detailed. Based on the experimental data and the field survey data of the disconnector, analyze the reason of the disconnector for surge arresters with bad operating conditions in the overall, identify the existing problems in the current standards, and give a series of recommendations to establishment of standards for disconnector.
