Food Safety Policies on the World, European and National Plan

In the paper, I analyzed the evolution of the concept of agro-alimentary policy both at global, European and national level. Later we listed the institutions responsible for food security regulations as well as the main food security policies. We also presented the evolution of the concept of food security, by mentioning the main theories and definitions of the concept. The way the food security concept has evolved is presented structurally, starting from a global and European level, and reaching the national level. The attempts to harmonize the Romanian legislation with the European legislation on food safety and security are noticed. So I tried to find the best and most accurate and statistically significant prognosis. Based on the analysis we have concluded that the last calculation, involving as many independent predictive variables, is the most efficient and has the highest statistical relevance. From the forecast made there is a tendency of gradual increase in the per capita daily average food consumption, reaching the situation where in 2025 we'll consume an average of 3691.66 kcal / capita / day. This forecasted consumption is quite high, considering the recommendations of the experts to consume between 1,600 and 2,200 calories per day for normally weighted women with moderate physical activity, and between 1,800 and 2,800 calories per day for normally weighted men with moderate physical activity.
