Highly dispersed titania-supported iron oxide catalysts for efficient heterogeneous photo-Fenton oxidation: Influencing factors, synergistic effects and mechanism insight

Fe-TiO2 catalysts are obtained through a facile solid-phase synthesis method. The sophisticated interplay between TiO2 and iron influencing the efficiency of heterogeneous photo-Fenton is clarified. With low iron loading (1–5 wt%) and relative low temperatures calcination (600 ℃), highly dispersive and OV rich Fe-TiO2 composites showed much superior heterogeneous photo-Fenton performance to the pristine P25.
