摘要
•Fabrication of g-C3N4/Cr-ZnO hybrid composite by chemical co-precipitation method.•Band gap tuning of ZnO by simultaneous doping it with Cr and hybridizing with g-C3N4.•Photocatalytic MB degradation rate of g-C3N4/Cr-ZnO is 3.5 times higher than 5% Cr-ZnO.•Hybrid composite g-C3N4/Cr-ZnO exhibits excellent antibacterial activity.
