摘要
•Half of patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) also had diabetes•Body weight reduction tended to be greater after 6 mo of sodium glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitor treatment (P = .050) and significantly higher in patients with versus without the voltage-gated potassium channel KQT-like subfamily member 1 CC genotype (P < .05)•Hemoglobin A1c reduction level was significantly lower in patients with versus without the patatin-like phospholipase 3 GG SNP (P < .05)•New-onset diabetes occurred in 44 patients (10-y incidence rate: 17.9%) and was particularly prevalent in obese patients (P = .046) and those with the voltage-gated potassium channel KQT-like subfamily member CC genotype (P < .01)
