Monitoring dynamics of loading of the working memory in the incubation stage of an insight

The paper describes findings of an experimental study of solving creative (insight) tasks by means of monitoring dynamics of loading of the working memory. The authors demonstrate the potential of the technique of the double task for monitoring the solving process, describe the differences between loading of the working memory in performing insight tasks and algorithmic tasks. The characteristics discovered are interpreted as specific insight mechanisms involving resources of the working memory in the incubation stage.
