Vibrio areninigrae as a pathogenic bacterium in a crustacean
Journal of Invertebrate Pathology(2021)
Abstract
•Pathogenicity of Vibrio metschnikovii and Vibrio areninigrae on crayfish was studied.•V. metschnikovii has a weak pathogenic potential to crayfish.•V. areninigrae causes 100% mortality after 24 h post-infection and nodule formation on different tissues.•V. areninigrae extracellular crude products caused in vivo mortality and in vitro cytotoxicity against hemocytes.
