Abstract
This article focuses on analyzing studies on care and prevention of fragility in the elderly to detect mainly: if the use of ICT is included among the resources used for the care and prevention, if the education level of the elderly is relevant in this process and if training programs are used to improve the quality of life of older people. The methodology followed is called "systematic review", it is based on a structure and systematic integration of information obtained by different selected articles from JCR journals in the field of gerontology. The results obtained from the analyzed sample have revealed the lack of health educational programmes for the prevention of frailty in the elderly, in which ICT is used. Regarding the profile of frailty, a relation of different variables such as gender, socioeconomic status, religious participation, volunteer participation in activities and social support have been detected. The ICT are still being used by a minority of elderly people, and studies have revealed the benefits that they report. The conclusions are focused on two proposals, one is related to the necessity for specific trainers for the use of ICT by the elderly, and another one is related to the solidarity and intergenerational learning.
