Abstract
In the present study, H-1-phenanthro[9,10-d]imidazole derivatives were obtained from 9,10-phenanthrenequinone, ammonium acetate and aromatic aldehydes in the presence of microwave or 1,4-dimethylpiperaziniumdihydrosulfate catalyst in short reaction time with 71.0-96.7 % yields. This paper reports the first time using of 1,4-dimethylpiperaziniumdihydro sulfate catalyst in synthesis of 2-aryl-H-1-phenanthro[9,10-d]imidazoles. Results of both of the conditions were compared, image of the visible surface of synthesized substances were acquired and homogeneity were determined.
