THE BOLIVIAN PANTANAL AND ITS LANDSCAPES AS A POTENTIAL FOR TOURISM IN THE BRAZILIAN AND BOLIVIA BOUNDARY ZONE

The aim of this paper is to present the actual potentiality of Pantanal biome on the border region between Brazil and Bolivia. These Bolivian cities are known for their shopping tourism, even though their location -Pantanal region- which possesses vast natural resources could also enable them to offer a special destination for nature tourism yet to be explored. The Pantanal landscape in the places mentioned is not promptly considered as a tourist attraction, which differs from its portion inside Brazilian territory. Research involving fieldwork techniques has provided a better comprehension of the complex reality in this border area and have pointed towards the relevance of the Bolivian share in the landscape for the development of tourism in Brazil.
