Abstract
The effect of concentration of indole butyric acid (IBA) (0, 1000, 2000, and 3000 mg.kg(-1)), size (SC: 20, 30 and 40 cm) and diameter of cutting (DC: thin 1-2 cm and thick 2.5-3.5 cm) on the rooting of Morus alba were evaluated. Percentage of survival (PS) and rooting cuttings (PR), plant height (PH), number of leaves (NL) and branches (NB) were evaluated. The concentration of IBA influenced PS and PR, and SC on PR. The interaction of SC with IBA affected PH, and the interaction of IBA with SC and DC the NL and NB. IBA at 2000 mg.kg(-1) lincreased PS and PR. The 30 and 40 cm cuttings treated with 1000 y 2000 mg.kg(-1) IBA, respectively, reached greater PH. This last concentration applied on thin and thick cuttings with the two previous SC, or thick 40 cm with 1000 mg.kg(-1) IBA registered greater NL and NB.
