The late Miocene Öksüt high sulfidation epithermal Au-Cu deposit, Central Anatolia, Turkey: Geology, geochronology, and geochemistry

•The CA-ID-TIMS Zircon U-Pb age of Öksüt host rock (hBA) is 5.778 ± 0.013 Ma.•The CA-ID-TIMS Zircon U-Pb age of Öksüt cover rock (pBA) is 5.700 ± 0.019 Ma.•This is the youngest age for economic gold deposit in Turkey.•The mineralization took place in a very narrow lifetime of 78 ± 32 Ka.•The host and cover volcanics are formed in a post-collisional transtensional setting.
