Study on a Film-type Pressure Self-adaptive Water-tight Junction Box

Film-type pressure self-adaptive water-tight junction box (FPSWJB) is a combination of the film-type compensator and water-tight junction box. Taking the advantage of responding rapidly and occupying little volume, the FPSWJB can both separate the sea water from the inside electronic components and keep the inside pressure balanced to the ambient pressure. In this paper, the model of hydraulic oil with air is the first time to be used in the calculation of the volume compensated to the FPSWJB; the factors that will affect the compensation performance such as the thickness of the film, the initial volume of the compensating chamber and the gas content of the hydraulic fluid are studied; this paper also provides a new method that offers the system the precompression to strengthen the system feasibility, and a set of criterion on designing FPSWJB is came up.
