Development of an underwater spectral imaging system based on narrowband color filters

摘要
This paper presents the design of an underwater staring spectral imaging system, which has 31 different color filters that covers the spectral range of 400 nm 700nm. The filters are settled on 2 filter wheels so that the size and weight of the system is deduced greatly, which is essential for underwater applications. Experiments are conducted to test the system, and the results show that the system can be used to image underwater objecs of 8 m.
