Maize biomass was fermented under lab. conditions to biogas and tested as a solid fuel The fresh maize biomass was found suitable for biogas prodn. what was confirmed by resp. calculations. The biomass was dried before combustion. The ash showed a decreased fusibility and increased corrosivity.
