STRUCTURAL, OPTICAL, ELECTROCHEMICAL, THERMAL AND ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES OF 6, 13-BIS (TRI-ISOPROPYLSILYLETHYNYL) TIPS-PENTACENE

We report on the small molecule of 6, 13-bis (tri-isopropylsilylethynyl) pentacene (TIPS-pentacene) powder and solution grown single crystal structural properties while the optical, electrochemical properties are studied by using TIPS-pentacene solution, thermal and electrical properties are studied by using its powder. TIPS-pentacene is preferable to other organic materials due to their remarkable electronic properties, stability and solubility. The studies performed by X-ray diffraction technique indicate that the material is single phase having a triclinic structure. The grown single crystals are highly oriented. From UV-visible spectroscopy analysis, it has been observed that the absorption peaks lie within the range of 300-643 nm. Thermal behavior has been studied by Thermo Gravimetric Analysis (TGA) and Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) that the material decomposes at 412 degrees C and melts at 263 degrees C.
