Effect of Mg on microstructure and properties of 6000 series high strength and high ductility aluminum alloy

摘要
Effects of Mg on the microstructure and properties of forged 6000 series aluminium alloy (Al-xMg-0.95Si-1.02Cu-0.33Mn-0.015Sr-0.21Zr, percentage of mass) were studied by means of XRD and EBSD analysis, tensile property test, hardness and conductivity test, inter-granular corrosion experiments. With the increase of Mg content, dislocation strength, tensile strength and ductility of the alloy show a trend of rising first and then falling. When Mg content is 1.04 wt%, the alloy has the best comprehensive properties, with strength reaching 412.48 MPa and elongation reaching 13.56%, and the intergranular corrosion resistance of the alloy deteriorates with the increase of Mg content. At the same time, the higher the ratio of the low-angle grain boundaries in the 6000 series aluminum alloy, the lower the inter-corrosion ability.
