Abstract
The authors examined 24 female dogs suffering from mammary gland tumours using diagnostic imaging techniques (ultrasound, computer tomography, magnetic resonance imaging). After surgical excision the tumours were evaluated histologically and immunohistologically (Ki-67 antigen test). In view of the results the authors present the histological type of mammary tumours and their prevalence. In addition, the Ki-67 antigen was analysed as a prognostic factor during the investigation of canine mammary gland tumours.
