DETERMINATION OF ETHANOL CONCENTRATION IN BIOFUEL BY ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES MEASUREMENT

The article describes an ethanol-detection method in an ethanolgasoline blend. This method was newly applied in real-life conditions of a fuel system; the only known previous applications did not respect the problematic marginal areas. The methods of determining electrical properties in direct as well as alternating current are described. The method was verified using fuel from standard distribution network. The given method can be applied in flexifuel systems as it gives more precise ethanol detection than the contemporary used feedback determination methods.
